The most important part of your experience is keeping safe. The area of Main Road that the Wine Wagon travels is equipped with a large shoulder for farm equipment and slow moving vehicles (like us). There is little interaction with traffic as we travel to our winery destinations.
Since the Wine Wagon is driven by a sober driver, passengers are free to enjoy local wines without the worry of driving during your tour. However, getting home safely is a very important consideration not to be forgotten.
Select a designated driver, or drivers before the tour begins putting your exit strategy in place before it may become too late to do so. The LIRR has service to Southold whose station is 3 miles / 5 minutes from Peconic where our tours begin and end. The train will get you there at 11:52 on weekends - perfect for a 2:30 tour! Departure is at 6:21PM.
Rides to and from the station can be arranged through Hometown Taxi (631) 765-5336. They can accommodate your entire group with their 15 passenger van. Hometown prefers that you call ahead to ensure that the van is available when you need it.

The owner of the Wine Wagon is working to offer you more ride options. If you’re interested in having a 15 passenger van pick up and take your group home, call (516) 220-1392 and Mike may be able to accommodate you.
